Paul Pierce Floats Idea Of Oklahoma City Thunder Trading Chet Holmgren For Kevin Durant

The Oklahoma City Thunder have been without sophomore Chet Holmgren for most of the season. Holmgren played in just 10 games, averaging 16.4 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game on 50.5% shooting before being sidelined with a hip injury.

Despite Holmgren’s absence, the Thunder have been incredibly successful and haven’t appeared to take a massive hit. Currently, they hold the best record in the NBA with an impressive 37-8 standing.

With the Thunder thriving without Holmgren, former Boston Celtics superstar Paul Pierce has floated the idea of trading him for former Thunder superstar Kevin Durant. Even Durant at 36, Pierce believes the veteran superstar could help a young team like the Thunder for years to come.

“Listen, they ballin’ without Chet, so now you trade him for KD. Man, KD’s shown me he can play with anybody; he can fit on any team. Like, he ain’t Bron where you gotta change your whole s*** for Bron. KD can plug and play wherever he go.” Pierce argued. “KD still got a lot left in the tank. He can help that young team for the next five years.”
