Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick found the perfect way to silence LeBron James over his mustache criticism.
The playful banter began during a recent post-game interview when LeBron James was spotted brushing his head in the locker room. Fans couldn’t resist making jokes about James brushing his head despite being bald, and the meme fest quickly spread across social media. Amidst the jokes, James took a playful jab at Redick’s mustache, sparking a humorous exchange between the two.
Not one to back down, Redick decided to address the mustache criticism in a unique way. During a team briefing, Redick started with a serious tone, acknowledging the team’s efforts and recent performances. However, he soon shifted gears, saying,
“Something has been bothering me all day. I just gotta be honest with you guys. We did a lot of work on this game, and some of you were very critical of the mustache. One of you was very vocal. That person, by the way, combing his mustache.”
Redick then revealed that he had “gone deep into the archives” to find a fitting response. He proceeded to show an image of LeBron from his Cleveland days, sporting a bit of a mustache. The entire squad burst into laughter, and even LeBron couldn’t help but join in on the fun.
