Could The Golden State Warriors Trade Draymond Green? Lou Williams Shares His Take

At 16-16 and holding the 10th seed in the Western Conference, the Golden State Warriors are fully aware they’re not in contention territory yet. It’s no surprise that reports are circulating about possible roster moves as Golden State looks for ways to turn its season around.

In this context, the Warriors have been linked to players like Jimmy Butler, Zion Williamson, Brandon Ingram and Zach LaVine, to name a few. Each would contribute right away and complement Stephen Curry as a No. 2 option.

Jonathan Kuminga often headlines these trade discussions, with Andrew Wiggins, Moses Moody, and Brandin Podziemski also appearing in various packages. But could Golden State consider moving Draymond Green, their defensive anchor and core piece, if it means landing a star or overhauling the roster?

On FanDuel TV’s “Run It Back,” three-time Sixth Man of the Year Lou Williams shared his perspective, stating that Draymond is a professional who likely understands the possibility of being traded.

“He’s a very realistic pro. That’s what I’ve loved about Draymond Green ever since he became this dynamic personality once (the Warriors) started winning championships… He even knew that there could be an opportunity for him to be traded last year.”
