To cement its reputation as the most progressive of all major sports leagues, the NBA has made its decision and chosen five companies to receive immediate funding from NBA Launchpad.
This initiative aims to discover, evaluate, and test new technologies. Among the selected companies, three are focused on enhancing the game of basketball, while the other two aim to enhance the fan experience.
These NBA Launchpad companies will now embark on a six-month journey, receiving hands-on support from the NBA and access to valuable NBA resources. This will enable them to further develop their technologies. At the end of the program, they will have the opportunity to showcase their innovations to NBA executives, strategic partners, and investors during Demo Day at the NBA 2K25 Summer League in Las Vegas in July.
“NBA Launchpad continues to support innovative technology start-ups to stay at the forefront of basketball innovation,” said Tom Ryan, NBA Vice President of Basketball Strategy. “Working with these talented entrepreneurs inspires our thinking and has the power to change the game.”
