Yesterday, a video, stating that the Utah Jazz pay local homeless people to come inside Vivint Arena to pick up trash after games, while getting paid, went viral.

Fans around the league loved the idea and heap praised the franchise for their initiative. NBA Twitter had all the nice words for the Jazz. But the Jazz themselves said give credit, where credit is due, and revealed that this idea comes from a third-party vendor that the Jazz work with to supplement its own staff.

“We are grateful to get the shoutout but technically it’s a third-party vendor that the Utah Jazz works with to supplement its own staff with post-event arena cleaning needs.”

NBA Twitter didn’t care who the idea was from, they loved it, and rightfully praised the initiative.
