LeBron James Reportedly Being Named As Part Of Group Eyeing NBA Expansion Team In Las Vegas
Earlier this week, we reported that Bill Simmons believes that the NBA will expand to 32 teams, with new franchises in Las Vegas and Seattle, in the near future.
On the latest episode of The Bill Simmons Podcast, Simmons even revealed, how LeBron James may play a role in an expansion franchise.
I have some intel. I think the league is going to expand to Vegas and to Seattle. And I think the leading contender to get that Vegas team is going to be the Fenway Sports Group. They have Liverpool, they bought the Penguins. They’ve been circling different NBA teams for a while. I think they looked at Minnesota. And I think they’re the leading contender for Vegas. I heard, combined, we’re talking $6.5-7 billion for the two teams.”
.@ringer founder @BillSimmons says he has “intel” that the NBA will expand to Las Vegas, and that LeBron James “is definitely going to be involved” in the ownership group. https://t.co/K4bDk1rSwe pic.twitter.com/ivSM9fPoPe

LeBron James, who just recently became a billionaire, would be a logical choice to be involved with an NBA expansion team, with Simmons linking him to a potential team in Vegas.
“I think it’s officially real — LeBron is definitely going to be involved in that,”
Las Vegas is getting an NBA team and @KingJames will be an owner, according to @BillSimmons
