Devin Booker Gives His Take On Facing Injured Opponents Throughout The NBA Playoffs
The Phoenix Suns advanced to their first NBA Finals since 1993, but their road to the Finals has been going through a ton of consistent criticism over the fact that the Suns have fared against teams with an injured star in all three rounds.
In the first round, the Suns squared off against the Los Angeles Lakers who were missing the presence of Anthony Davis, who suffered a groin injury in Game 4. The Suns then took advantage of the Denver Nuggets without Jamal Murray before going up against the Kawhi Leonard-less Los Angeles Clippers in the Western Conference Finals.
The Suns are not to blame for being the healthier team along the way, as well as for facing injured opponents in the playoffs, but it should be expected that the injury talks are certainly not clearing up soon. Even then, Devin Booker made it known that they’re not looking to justify their run in the eyes of everyone else.
“We’re not here to justify what we’re doing to anybody else.”
