Jamal Murray Doubles Down On Receiving DPOY Consideration After Receiving Negative Reactions
Over the past few seasons, Jamal Murray has been tagged as a gifted and reliable offensive player, but never as a top-tier defensive player. But it looks like things have shifted this year as Murray has stepped it up defensively, and as a result, he’s gaining up some DPOY consideration as of late.
In case you missed it, the recent ‘Defensive Player of the Year’ leaderboard has Murray at fifth place, behind LeBron James who stays in the chase at fourth.
For what it’s worth, Murray has definitely improved on defense this season. However, countless of fans believe that his development doesn’t warrant how he quickly leaped near the top of the ladder, surpassing even those reputable defensive players.
