DeMarcus Cousins Offered To Pay For Stephon Clark’s Funeral
This past Sunday, 22-year-old Stephon Clark was shot by police officers in his grandmother’s backyard in Sacramento, after Plice was pursuing him in suspicion of reported car robberies in the neighborhood. The officers fired 20 rounds at Clark, who was unarmed.
Yesterday, prior to the Kings-Hawks game, protests against the fatal police shooting delayed the tip-off. Kings’ owner Vivek Randivé addressed the audience after the game, with a great statement!

Former Sacramento Kings star DeMarcus Cousins has now reached out to the Clark family and offered to pay the funeral expenses.

It isn’t the first time Cousins gets involved with social justice issues. In 2015, he paid for the funeral of high school football player Jaulon Clavo, who was shot before a playoff game. It is great to see basketball players get involved and care about their communities.
