Sport Science – Jayson Tatum
The 2017 NBA Draft will take place tonight, and Jayson Tatum is one of the top prospects.
The Boston Celtics may even have revealed that he is their pick on accident. In a conference call, Danny Ainge explained why the Celtics traded down, saying that he felt Boston’s pick was going to be there at No. 3 anyway.
“We think there’s a really good chance the player we’ll take at 3 is the same player we would have taken at 1. So this was a great opportunity to acquire an impactful asset.”
A player that would have been available at 3 anyways, excludes other top prospects like Lonzo Ball (who if the Lakers decided for Jackson would have ended up in Philadelphia), Markelle Fultz (obviously), and Josh Jackson (who the Lakers still have as their potential #2 pick), leaving Jayson Tatum as their No.1 and now No.3 pick, as he wouldn’t have ended up in Philadelphia or Los Angeles in any way.
ESPN’s Sport Science now took a closer look at Tatum, and let him run a special kind of drill; dunking while wearing medieval armor.
