Jusuf Nurkic Trolled His Former Team
Portland Trailblazers center Jusuf Nurkic had himself a career night against his former team, the Denver Nuggets. He finished with an impressive 33 points making 12 of his 15 shots from the field, and 9 of 11 from the line. Nurkic added 16 rebounds and 3 blocks in his 33 minutes.
The Nuggets and Blazers are fighting for the 8th and final spot to make the Western Conference Playoffs. With Portland’s win last night, they’re moving one game ahead of Denver, also clinching the tiebreaker between the two.
Nurkic, who was traded from Denver to Portland in exchange for a pick and Mason Plumlee during the trade deadline, always was a highly talented big man. He wasn’t able to show it on a regular basis in Denver, due to injuries and limited playing time. That has drastically changed since becoming a member of the Blazers. He is a vocal part of the team, helping the team fight for the playoffs. Since joining the Trailblazers, Jusuf Nurkic is averaging a stellar 15.0 points, 10.4 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.9 blocks per game, while becoming one of the best centers in the NBA.
During a post game interview, Nurkic trolled his former team, taking a shot at the Nuggets, telling them to enjoy their summer.
But he doesn’t hold a grudge against the Nuggets. Trades don’t separate family. After the game, Jusuf Nurkic and the Nuggets hugged it out and remembered the memories.
