Worst Team USA In History Still Destroying Opponents

The FIBA has released a new qualifying format for this year, making it impossible for NBA players to play for their respective countries. For Team USA 2017 this concerns the AmeriCup 2017, which they have to play to make themselves eligible for more important events such as the FIBA World Cup.

Team USA was able to land Jeff Van Gundy as its head coach. The now ABC analyst and commentator has already coached in the NBA Finals and will most likely be the most experienced and known member of Team USA 2017.

But even though the team plays without any NBA stars, Van Gundy and his team, a group of D-League players, have won all four of their games in the Americup, advancing to the Finals. But, the team didn’t just win their games, they destroyed their opponents, having won their games by an average of 23.5 points margin.

Team USA is led by Damian Hillard (13 PPG), Jameel Warney (10.9 PPG, 9.1 AST) and Xavier Munford (10.3 PPG). This team will also play the World Cup Qualifiers, but unfortunately, they won’t get to play the actual World Cup, because that’s when Gregg Popovich will take over with the usual suspects, Kevin Durant, James Harden, Kawhi Leonard, John Wall and Russell Westbrook.
