When His Sons Are Eligible To Sign A Shoe Deal, LaVar Ball Wants $1 Billion

In the last couple of weeks, we all got to know that LaVar Ball may not have all his marbles. First he said that his older son, Lonzo Ball, is better than Stephen Curry, then he said that he would have destroyed Michael Jordan one-on-one in his prime

“Back in my heyday, I would kill Michael Jordan one-on-one.”

 

But what he said now, even seems unbelievabe when you know LaVar.

When his sons Lonzo, LiAngelo and LaMelo are eligible to sign a shoe deal, LaVar wants $1 billion.

“A billion dollars, it has to be there. That’s our number, a billion, straight out of the gate. And you don’t even have to give it to me all up front. Give us $100 mil over 10 years.”

That’s what Ball told USA TODAY Sports.

I’m still not 100% sure if he is a very smart guy, who knows how to playe the game – All of this is free publicity for their brand – or if he really is a greedy parent, who is using his kids’ talent to get paid. Either way, I feel bad for his kids. I bet everybody wants to them fail now, and chances are, they will, with the bar set this high by their own father.
