Smush Parker Thinks He, Kobe Bryant, and Lamar Odom Could Dominate BIG3 Tournament

Former Los Angeles Lakers guard Smush Parker feels he, Kobe Bryant and Lamar Odom would dominate Ice Cube’s BIG3 3-on-3 league that will begin in June of 2017.

Parker, who sees other big-time NBA players of the 1990’s and 2000’s joining the movement, feels linking up with his former teammates would be an easy victory in the tournament.

“We would take the whole thing,” Parker told TMZ Sports. “With Kobe [Bryant] being a leader out there, we’ve got an all-purpose player in Lamar Odom and with my precise sharp-shooting from the outside, we’re well-balanced. And we all play defense.”

It sounds awkward to hear that Smush Parker wants to play alongside Kobe Bryant, again, right? Past Lakers teammates and coaches—as well as Bryant himself —have admitted stories on the poor relationship between the two during their time together from 2005-2007. In 2012, Bryant once called Parker “the worst” and that “he shouldn’t have been in the NBA, but [the Lakers] were too cheap to pay for a point guard.” Parker remembers Bryant wouldn’t let him speak to him because “you need more accolades under your belt before you come talk to me.”

Smush Parker and Kobe Bryant’s constant feuds were known in the media, but the 35-year-old former Lakers guard has dropped it.

“That’s water under the bridge for me,” said Parker. “Back then we were both immature versions of who we are today and for me, I could definitely have handled the situation better and if I had another chance I would handle the situation better. We work well together and I wholeheartedly, no doubt in my mind know we could have been the best backcourt in Lakers history.”

Kobe Bryant—arguably the greatest one-on-one player of all-time—returning to the court playing street ball, would be a treat for all of us.
