Rudy Gobert Rips Teammates After Loss

The Jazz are playing a fantastic season so far, they’re leading their division, and were able to clinch a playoff spot early. Sunny skies ahead in Utah, one might assume, but after losing to the Los Angeles Clippers yesterday, the Utah Jazz now have lost four out of their last five games and the tension is rising.

French Center Rudy Gobert, who is having a career year and is on pace to win the defensive player of the year award, wants to see his teammates focus on every aspect of the game, not just scoring. He was mad after the game, ripping his teammates telling ESPN:

“We’ve got guys that compete, but some of us don’t compete. Some of us just think about scoring. That’s what it is. … Coach keeps repeating it: We’ve just got to compete. We’re too nice. Those guys, we know they’re going to get calls. We’ve just got to come out aggressive and ready to fight.”

The Clippers dominated the Jazz yesterday, and as of today, the Jazz and Clippers would be matched up in the first round of the playoffs.
