Richard Jefferson Savagely Roasted Deron Williams’ Finals Performance

1.0 points and 1.2 assists on 13 percent shooting – Deron Williams’ averages in these past NBA Finals.

From day one, Williams seemed somewhat unhappy with his backup role in Cleveland. There were rumors about him not practicing enough, or not even watching film, because he’s “seen it all”. The three-time All Star played a role he’s never played before, and wasn’t able to adapt.

During Richard Jefferson’s newest ‘Road Trippin’ podcast, Williams was roasted by the podcast crew:

Richard Jefferson: “When you ask Deron about golf, his eyes light up. When you ask Deron about MMA, his eyes light up.”

Dave McMenamin: “-What about when you talk to him about coming off the bench for the Cavaliers?”

Jefferson: “His eyes did not light up, his eyes did not light up.”

Chris Geeter: “What about when the Warriors saw him coming off the bench?”

Jefferson: “Their eyes lit up”

‘Their eyes lit up’ – It does sound kind of harsh, but we all know that it is kind of true.
