LeBron James: “Derrick Rose Doesn’t Owe Us An Apology”

It’s almost been two weeks since Cleveland point guard Derrick Rose left the team. Rose needed some time away to deal with his increasing frustration about his constant injury problems. Rose isn’t even sure that he wants to continue playing at this moment.

But unlike last year, when Rose left his Knicks team without reaching out to team officials (teammates and fans were worried about where he may be), the former MVP is staying in contact with the franchise’s front office, talking about a potential return.

This may also be the reason why LeBron James, who has had Derrick Rose‘s back from the first day he signed with the Cavaliers, still supports his teammate to the max.

Now that Rose is back with the team, James was asked if Rose owed the team an apology for his absence to which LeBron responded:

“He doesn’t owe us an explanation. We just hope that we can be his support system.”
