Kawhi Leonard Doesn’t Respond To Spurs’ Calls And Texts For Weeks

There has been a lot of buzz around Kawhi Leonard this season, for a lot of reasons. His stellar play, we’ve gotten used to, wasn’t part of it though.

Even though he’s medically cleared, Leonard still chooses to be out with a nagging and slowly healing leg injury and there have been reports that Leonard wants to leave San Antonio for good.

According to a report by The Sacramento Bee, it was now revealed that Kawhi Leonard went weeks without communicating with the team.

“He occasionally texts with some of his teammates, but according to Gasol leaves others in the dark. And the fact he has been absent from San Antonio for weeks and is not expected to sit on the bench for Game 3?”

There is a divide between Kawhi and the Spurs organization and judging from the way Kawhi has handled the injury situation more or less on his own, and with his own team/doctors, I’m not too sure that the Spurs are too keen on trying to convince Leonard to stay, either.
