Iman Shumpert on Kyrie Irving: “There’s no hard feelings”

On August 21, Kyrie Irving and Iman Shumpert played their last game as teammates for the time being.

They won their game at the Atlanta Entertainment Basketball League, and interestingly enough, wore green jerseys.

Kyrie Irving was traded to the Boston Cetlics the next day. After a class at Rumble Boxing, Iman Shumpert now explained that the jerseys were one of the first topics he and Kyrie talked about after the trade. Shumpert also said that there were no hard feelings towards Kyrie Irving.

“That’s literally our conversation after [the trade]. He was like ‘damn dawg, we didn’t even think about it, we were playing in green jerseys yesterday. If I had got traded with you that would be crazy. It was before we knew. It was one of those things, Kyrie and the team they worked out what they worked out. At the end of the day, we’re all men and it’s all business. There’s no hard feelings. And I’m sure Ky at some point is going to talk to everybody, the same way he talked to me. Ky’s a regular dude. He’s going to compete and he knows we’re going to be out looking for him when we play Boston. It’s all fine.”
