Hack-A-Simmons; Sixers Fans Voiced Their Displeasure To Adam Silver Who Was In Attendance

The Philadelphia 76ers won last night’s Eastern Conference showdown against the Washington Wizards.

Rookie of the year frontrunner Ben Simmons had a monster game, that also included an NBA record. Simmons finished with 31 points, 18 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks. Simmons also went to the free throw line 29 times, which is an NBA record for rookies. 24 of the 29 attempts came in the 4th quarter when Washington played ‘hack-A-Simmons’, these 24 attempts are a new NBA record for most free throws in one quarter.

Thankfully, Washington’s ‘Hack-A’-Tactic didn’t turn out to be successful. All of this happened, while NBA Commissioner Adam Silver was in attendance. Many fans were furious.

The problem, Adam Silver’s hands are tied. The main reason the league didn’t completely eliminate the Hack-A-Tactic is due to the required votes. Two thirds of the league’s owners would have to approve such rule, and there weren’t that many owners content with changing it.
