Dejounte Murray’s Irrelevant Last-Second Dunk Meant Money For Gamblers

Game 3 between the San Antonio Spurs and the Golden State Warriors was yet another blowout. The Warriors were able to cruise to a 110-97 win, to take a comfortable 3-0 series lead.

As usual in these types of games, the last couple of minutes more or less were garbage time. Not very interesting for the casual viewer, but possibly tense moments for gamblers who bet on the game.

This amazing, yet pointless dunk from Dejounte Murray with 1.3 seconds left on the clock, made some gamblers jump out of their seats as if their team had just won the Championship.

You see, the over/under was anywhere from 205.5 to 206.5, depending on the bookie, and Murray’s dunk caused the points total to be 207, meaning money for everyone betting the ‘over’. According to The Action Network, 74% of the bettors were taking the over. These guys are now very thankful for Murray’s dunk.
