Best Free Agents Who Are Still Available

Best Free Agents Who Are Still Available

This year’s offseason has been crazy so far. The Western Conference is now looking stronger than ever. Superstars such as Chris Paul, Gordon Hayward, Paul Millsap, Jimmy Butler and Paul George left their former teams via trade or free agency. Most of the ‘valuable’ free agents signed with teams already, and it hasn’t even been a week since free agency started.

But there are still plenty of free-agent players on the market, who are looking to sign with a new team, or re-sign with their old team.

To make things a little easier, here are the best free-agent players, who still are available:

Unrestricted:

  • Derrick Rose (possibly a Bucks, or Clippers candidate)
  • Dion Waiters (most realistic options are staying with the Heat, or going to the Knicks)
  • CJ Miles (Timberwolves and Thunder are interested in signing him)
  • Ian Clark (not likely to re-sign with the Warriors – wants/deserves to earn more than the minimum)
  • Rudy Gay (OKC, Utah and Miami are among the favorites of landing him)
  • James Johnson (Heat are trying to resign him, Clippers are interested, too)
  • Kelly Olynyk (many teams are interested, hasn’t met with any team yet)
  • Pau Gasol (likely to resign with the Spurs – dark horse candidate for the Warriors)

Restricted:

  • Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (Pistons likely to match any offer)
  • Tim Hardaway Jr. (Mavs seem to be interested, Hawks unlikely to re-sign him)
  • Andre Roberson (likely to re-sign with OKC)
  • Bojan Bogdanovic (Sacramento, Denver and Atlanta are interested in signing him)
  • Jonathon Simmons (lots of options. Spurs want to re-sign him, Clippers, Timberwolves, Suns and Knicks among teams interested to sign him)
  • JaMychal Green (no ‘serious’ rumors yet)
  • Nikola Mirotic (very likely to re-sign with the Bulls)
  • Mason Plumlee (Nuggets are likely to re-sign him)
  • Alex Len (a lot of teams show interest in signing him – nothing specific)
  • Nerlens Noel (likeley to re-sign with the Mavs)
